Best Food Network Kitchens

What?s the most important part of any kitchen? There?s no question that the answer is food. Out of popular Food Network chefs Tyler Florence, Ina Garten, and Giada De Laurentiis, only the Barefoot Contessa?s cookbook has a spot on my bookshelf. There?s just something so comforting about her warm smile, recipes incorporating only the freshest ingredients, and her penchant for effortless entertaining. Find a soul-soothing Winter Minestrone and Garlic Bruschetta soup/stew below, a perfect antidote to the freezing temperatures lately.

Judging by their kitchens alone though (we couldn?t help changing the subject back), it?s certainly more of a toss-up. Each cook has his/her distinct personal style, reflected in the spaces they create delicious meals in. Dissect the elements of each kitchen with us, then leave a comment to cast your vote.

Ina Garten

What we like about Ina’s kitchen:

  • Neutral palette, sticking with mostly white with accents of wood and metal
  • Open shelves/cabinets with cake stands and serving bowls demonstrate her entertaining prowess
  • White orchids liven up the room
  • Collections of stacked books remind us that her set is actually her Hamptons home.
  • Tons of counter space

Giada De Laurentiis

What we like about Giada’s kitchen:

  • Very cool semi-transparent top cabinets
  • Light, airy, and contemporary
  • Cooking range is located on the island, making the host and food the center of the space
  • Sleek bottom cherry cabinets anchor and bring warmth to the kitchen
  • Deep double sink with extra high faucet to wash the largest pots

Tyler Florence

What we like about Tyler’s kitchen:

  • Funky green subway tile is unique and eye-catching
  • Retro robin?s egg blue cabinets are an unexpected complement to green walls
  • Minimal top cabinets space- instead appliances, pans, and utensils are displayed for an urban feel
  • Instead of typical granite countertops, Tyler goes all stainless steel for an industrial feel

Whose kitchen is your favorite? Would you mix and match elements from each? What elements would you incorporate in your dream kitchen?

And as promised, Barefoot Contessa?s Winter Minestrone and Garlic Bruschetta Soup. Mmm!
