Kitchen Cabinet Pictures From Real Homes

Most photos in this gallery come from Kitchen Cabinet Kings customers, in real kitchens and bathrooms after the cabinets went in. You can see how each door style looks under everyday lighting and alongside actual countertops, floors and hardware. Open any photo to view it full size, then move through the rest of that cabinet style.

Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinet Door Styles

The cabinet door usually sets the direction for the whole room. Start with the profiles in the filters above.

Shaker Cabinets

Shaker kitchen cabinets have a flat center panel inside a square frame. They appear more than any other door style in this gallery because they work in modern, farmhouse and traditional rooms. Slim shaker doors narrow the frame for a cleaner look.

Recessed Panel Cabinets

Recessed panel cabinets also set the center panel back, but add more detail around the frame or panel edge. They fall between modern and traditional, making them a natural fit for transitional kitchens.

Raised Panel Cabinets

Raised panel cabinets bring the center panel forward, usually with a shaped edge. They suit traditional, country and Tuscan kitchens, especially alongside crown molding, warm wood tones and glazed finishes.

Kitchen Styles in the Gallery

Most kitchens in the gallery fit one of four broad styles. Modern kitchen cabinets keep the doors and hardware simple. Farmhouse kitchen cabinets often pair shaker doors with white, cream or muted green finishes and wood accents. Traditional kitchen cabinets use raised panels, deeper stains and crown molding. Transitional kitchens mix clean lines with a little more detail, and they appear most often in this gallery.

Cabinet Colors and What Goes With Them

White kitchen cabinets work with almost any countertop, which is one reason they appear so often here. Gray kitchen cabinets offer similar flexibility with more contrast. Wood tones bring warmth and tend to hide everyday wear better than solid paint. Blue kitchen cabinets and green cabinets draw more attention, especially on an island or bathroom vanity.

As you browse, notice what sits next to the cabinets. Countertops, backsplashes, flooring, wall color and hardware can change the way a finish reads. The same white shaker door feels different beside marble and brass than it does beside black granite and nickel.

From a Photo to Your Kitchen

Screens and phone cameras can shift color, so order a full-size door sample of any style you like and look at it in your own light, next to your floors and counters. When you have a few favorites, send us your measurements and our NKBA-certified designers will create a free 3D kitchen design with an itemized quote. You can then compare ready-to-assemble cabinets with assembled kitchen cabinets.

Some styles in the gallery have been discontinued. We leave the photos up because they can still help you narrow down the look you want, and we mark them clearly so you know before you fall for one. To see how other projects began, browse our before and after kitchen remodels.
