Choosing a green cabinet color
Green covers more ground than almost any other cabinet color, which is why two people can both say they want a green kitchen and mean completely different rooms. Our finishes run from pale near-neutral to deep olive-brown, and the names will not tell you which is which.
Pick the tone first. The door comes after, and it is the easier decision. Gray-greens work easily with white countertops, while yellow-toned olives look warmer beside oak floors and brass hardware.
Green does not have to mean green everywhere
The most common way customers buy green from us is on an island, with white or cream around the perimeter. Ordering two finishes costs no more than ordering one, so a darker shade you would not want across the whole kitchen is still on the table.
SageA soft gray-green
A soft gray-green and the closest to what most people picture when they say sage. It sits easily beside white counters and stays light enough for a full run of cabinets in a small kitchen.
LaurelA warm olive
A warm, yellow-toned olive that sits closer to khaki than forest green. It works naturally with oak floors and brass hardware, and makes a new kitchen feel a little more settled in.
PalmettoThe quietest of them
So pale it can read almost neutral in a bright room, with the green showing most clearly against true white. It is the compromise shade when one person wants green and the other wants gray.
JuniperA deep olive-brown
A deep, brown-leaning olive rather than a blue forest green. It absorbs more light than the other finishes, so it usually works best on base cabinets, an island, or in a brighter room.
Choosing the door profile
Once you have picked the green, the door profile is the next decision. The frame width, inner edge, and drawer front change the look more than the product names suggest. The American-made profiles below are all shown in Laurel so you can compare the shape without the color changing. Oxford is the exception because it is not offered in Laurel.
Bowery
A shaker with a recessed panel on the drawer front as well as the door. It is the most detailed American-made profile and the one that shows the most color.
Broadway
A stepped, mitered frame with a raised inner edge on both the door and drawer. It is the most traditional profile and the one that carries Juniper best.
Madison
The same door as Bowery with a plain slab drawer front instead of a paneled one. It is the quietest profile and the safest if you are undecided.
Patton
A shaker with a softened inner edge instead of a sharp corner. At the same frame width, it reads a little warmer and less severe than Madison.
Oxford
The only style here outside the American-made line, with a heavier stepped frame and deeply recessed panel. It is also the only green that ships ready to assemble.
What works with green cabinets
Green changes with the materials around it. White quartz keeps Sage and Palmetto cleaner, while butcher block and oak bring out the warmer side of Laurel and Juniper. Brass hardware adds warmth, black adds contrast, and a quiet white or cream backsplash lets the cabinet color do the work.
Bring the door sample into the room with your countertop, flooring, and hardware samples beside it. Check them in daylight and again under your kitchen lights. A green that looks gray on its own can read more olive beside warm wood or cream tile. If you are using two cabinet colors, keep the door profile and hardware consistent so the room still reads as one kitchen.

Warm white, cream, and light greige are the easiest wall colors to live with. Natural wood on the floor or an open shelf keeps the room warm, while black adds contrast around darker greens. Let the cabinets stay the loudest thing in the room.
What countertops look best with green cabinets?
Soft white or cream quartz keeps Laurel and Juniper as the focus. Sage and Palmetto can carry more movement, including a veined quartz. Butcher block works with all four shades and adds warmth to a green island.
