1. Information – Does the website sufficiently answer your questions and present a sense of credibility? Make sure that the site that your browsing has a FAQ section to help you understand possible issues.

2. Contact Availability Options –  Be sure to check the contact options the site offers.  Most sites have Email, but that’s not enough.  Call their contact number to make sure they have a live person you can talk to in case of any unforeseen issues.  Some sites even have live support.  Send a message and see if it is helpful.

3. References – Check references and reviews on other sites.  Make sure they are in good standing with prior customers.

4. Payment Options – Determine how payment is made and whether the business offers any flexible payment plans.

5. Samples – Make sure to ask for a sample of the product before securing your order.  It is best to see what it looks like before you commit to a style you don’t actually like in person.  Most companies will reimburse you for the price of the sample.

6. Return Policy – clearly understand what the return policy is so that you’re not left out in the cold should a return be necessary. Stock items can usually be returned (with an associated restocking fee) but you’ll need to pay the shipping (unless goods were damaged).
